Lead Attorney
Dierra Diegel is a Senior Trial Attorney at Sand Law in the Fargo, North Dakota office. She is responsible for representing clients in criminal defense matters, particularly in serious cases that are likely to proceed to court. Dierra is an exceptional trial attorney and an invaluable asset to Sand Law PLLC.
Dierra is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law. Prior to law school, she received a Bachelor of Science from Valley City State University, where she was also a member of the Women’s Basketball team.
Dierra grew up in Valley City, North Dakota, and prides herself on helping those from her hometown state. If Dierra isn’t working, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, on the lake if at all possible; or watching her little sister Lily compete in Special Olympics, Adaptive TNT programs, or the Able Games.

Dierra Danae Diegel has earned recognition from two national attorney rating organizations for her work as a criminal defense lawyer and her professional achievements early in her legal career.
Dierra was selected to the 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state. Attorneys are selected through a patented multiphase process that includes peer nominations, independent research, and evaluation across 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition.
Dierra was also named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, an invitation-only organization composed of leading trial lawyers under the age of 40.
