Dylan Becker

Dylan Becker is an associate attorney with the criminal defense team at Sand Law. One of Dylan’s most valuable assets for his clients who are facing criminal charges or serious jail time is his experience as a former Deputy District Attorney (DDA).

During Dylan’s time as a State prosecutor in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District, where he was the DDA, he learned valuable insights which he decided to use to help protect people’s freedoms and rights. A Deputy District Attorney is the lawyer for the State whose job is to charge people with crimes and argue the State’s case in court.

This high-level position shows Dylan’s work ethic, and perhaps more importantly, provided him with a deep understanding of how the State builds its cases and what strategies they use in the courtrooms. He knows how prosecutors evaluate evidence, decide on charges, and present their cases in court.

Dylan now uses those critical insights to defend all North Dakotans who are facing criminal allegations and need Sand Law’s help.

While at the District Attorney’s Office, Dylan handled a wide variety of criminal matters, including DUIs, assault, theft, drug charges, and many other alleged crimes. This gave Dylan some serious reps that have helped him hone his skills to defend you.

One benefit from his time at the DA’s office is the time he spent in the courtroom. This is what we mean by ‘reps.’ By spending so much time in the courtroom, Dylan has become comfortable and skilled with how things operate. In recognition of his work, he earned a 2024 Award for Trial Excellence.

Dylan obtained his J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2019 and spent time working in Colorado. He is admitted to practice law in both Colorado and North Dakota.

Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, and finally back in his home state, Dylan is enjoying the outdoors as much as possible, fly fishing, hiking, and camping, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and their two daughters.
